On Stage
The JYP Performance Company performs at a number of local and national events and festivals each year. These performances are a great way to build your resume and perform alongside industry professionals. In addition, the ability to travel and perform outside of your immediate community presents an opportunity to experience new places and make professional and personal connections with others.
On Screen
Dancefilm production and education have been part of the JYP experience since the company's inception. These films allow our repertoire to live online and the dancers to gain experience in dance and film production.
JYP company members anticipate the productions each year,
as we are always creating fun, fresh concepts.
Our films are made in collaboration with Dancinema Productions and have been selected to screen at film festivals all over North America. We've also been featured in DanceTeacher Magazine as video of the month.
In the Studio
Each semester, we have a Guest Teachers work with our
Senior Performance, Senior Training, and Junior Company Members.
These sessions also include open Question & Answer so students have the opportunity to gain personal and professional insight in addition to an amazing tap class.
